Steven Thompson | Director

Steven Dennis Thompson is a board director of WeDo GoodWorks. He is a pioneer in the interactive and digital marketing and development industry. Mr. Thompson, was co-founder and Managing Director of Chelsea Harlem Digital, Inc. (“CHD”), one of the premier digital development firms in the country based in New York City’s Silicon Ally. Mr. Thompson began his career at Citibank/Citicorp in the management associates program becoming an officer of the bank after an intense full year of accelerated training in Citigroup’s strategic development, marketing, systems and mortgage divisions. He then spent six years at Citicorp developing marketing plans and managing small business development on the retail level. Mr. Thompson is a graduate of the State University of New York with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration.

Daniel McCallum | Director

Daniel McCallum is a board director of WeDo GoodWorks and has over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, 5+ years of experience in sales and business development, and most recently was a senior Development Manager in Goldman Sachs' corporate real estate division. As project lead for the New York, New Jersey, and Latin American portfolio, he successfully delivered 79 projects in a 5 year period with a total value of ~$75mm.

While at Goldman Sachs, Daniel was instrumental in creating the “Local College Collaborative Program” which provides local college students with core-skill development, coaching, and mentoring. The program additionally serves as a conduit to promote diverse recruitment from schools in the NY/NJ area who have not historically been high priority for the investment banking industry. After the program's creation Daniel proudly served as a coach and mentor to his alma mater, Borough of Manhattan Community College, for 4 years.

He is the founder and organizer of Exceptional Women Football Club, which promotes gender equality in mixed gender amateur sports. In 2020 Daniel, in partnership with the team, hosted three DJ livestream events to raise money for charitable organizations associated with racial equality and tackling poverty in New York City.

 

Laura Groetzinger | Director

Laura Groetzinger is a board director of WeDo GoodWorks. Laura has over a decade of digital design and business strategy experience working primarily within the tech industry (Tremendous, Selfmade.co, JustWorks, Chloe & Isabel, Yipit), and with non profit organizations and political campaigns. As VP of Product at Selfmade.co, Laura helped build software to enable small businesses and organizations to grow through social media and email marketing. In addition to design, Laura is a professional artist, selling paintings through her brand @pinkandsalt . Building a brand on Instagram (Over 19K followers) afforded her the opportunity to share painting techniques with others through various mediums and workshops - most recently seen on VICE TV.

Laura holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Skidmore College in design and visual communications.

 

Samora Hunt | Director

Samora Hunt is a board director of WeDo GoodWorks. Samora’s professional experience has focused on Agriculture, FinTech and Investment banking in Tanzania, the United Kingdom, and the United States. 

He is currently at BBVA (Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria) where he leads the US & LATAM Credit Syndicate desk which is tasked with helping corporations in both regions raise capital via the public markets. 

Prior to BBVA Samora was in Business Development at AI Fintech Vise where he joined as as an early employee (employee #18 ) and helped the company expand to over 80 employees, increase it footprints in the mid and western U.S, and grow from a Series A to Series C company.

Samora’s prior work includes over eight years experience in investment banking in fixed income trading, origination, and advisory across banking and insurance sectors (Cleo Capital, Barclays Investment Bank, Credit Suisse Investment Bank). In addition, he has acquired and managed small farming operations (~5 acres) in Tanzania.

During Samora’s time in the UK he was also involved in nonprofit programs to help foster youth and people who are homeless through Action for Children and Shelter.

Samora is a graduate of Temple University and London Metropolitan University where he attained his Master of Science in Finance & International Banking.
